FDOT Road Report

The following is a list of roadwork underway by the Florida Department of Transportation that may impact traffic from September 6 to September 12.

Baker County

Interstate 10 Daytime lane closures at the overpasses at U.S 90, CSX Railroad, County Road 125 and at the Little St. Mary's River Bridge to clean and seal the bridge joints. No lane closures Friday through Sunday. Beginning Monday night and continuing through Wednesday night, a moving operation will take place to grind in the rumble strips on the paved shoulders between U.S. 90 and State Road 121. There may be other lane closures throughout the limits of the project between State Road 121 (Exit 335) and U.S. 90 (Exit 324) to install traffic monitoring sensors (traffic counters) in the pavement at various locations. This resurfacing project is expected to be completed by September 19.


Columbia County

Southwest Walter Avenue The road is closed at the Rose Creek Bridge for bridge replacement. All traffic is detoured to Southwest Little Road for the next two weeks. State Road 47 Work is expected to begin Monday on landscaping the medians between U.S. 41 and Interstate 75. No lane closures expected but motorists should watch for vehicles entering and leaving the road.


Union County

State Roads 100, 231 and 238 Daytime lane closures as crews replace the traffic signals and sidewalk and curb and add asphalt to make the turns wider at the intersections of State Road 100 and 238 and at State Road 121 and 231 in Lake Butler. Also, work may begin on removing the old railroad bed and lowering the pavement between State Road 100 and Southwest First Street. A detour could be effective either mid-week or later in the week.
