SRWMD sets first public hearing for budget SRWMD sets first public hearing for budgetLIVE OAK, FL - The Suwannee River Water Management District governing board will conduct its first public hearing on the FY 2008-09 budget at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, following its regular monthly board meeting which will be held at a special time, beginning at 3 p.m. The meetings will be held at the District office in Live Oak. A final public hearing on the budget will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at 5:30 p.m. in Live Oak. The proposed FY 2008-09 budget calls for a tax millage rate of 0.4399 mills, or about 44 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value. This is a 5.6% decrease from the rolled back rate of .4660. The total proposed budget is $72.1 million. This is a $9.8 million decrease from the current budget. |
