Alcohol Compliance Check Results

CLAY COUNTY, FL - Here are the results of the Clay Action Coalition’s alcohol compliance check conducted this weekend. Of the 29 stores, 27 were in compliance (i.e. did not sell to the under age coalition member) and two were non-compliant (did sell to the under age coalition member). Overall, this is an excellent compliance rate.

The two non-compliant checks resulted in two arrests. These individuals are issued notices to appear in court on the misdemeanor charge of Sale of Alcohol to a Minor.

1) Ms. Roberta Deas, employee of the Chevron at 1312 Blanding Blvd.

2) Mr. Michael Ortiz, employee of the Kangaroo at 338 College Drive.

 Additional checks are planned between now and the holidays.
