Welcome to Rapture PS3 Style

By DAVID WORTHINGTON

Welcome to Rapture PS3 Style

"A man has a choice... I chose the impossible. I built a city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the great would not be constrained by the small, where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality. I chose to build Rapture!"

Fighting a Big Daddy is like standing on the railroad tracks.
From beginning to end few games can keep your adrenaline pumping as Bioshock. Xbox 360 and PC owners have already visited the world of Rapture and on October 21st PS3 owners will be able to shoot up some plasmids as well.

Bioshock takes place in an underwater city built by a man named Andrew Ryan. He  built the city in a dream to escape the laws and regulations of what he calls the "outside world." However, something went wrong, and his underwater utopia turned into a mad house with survival of the strongest being the only rule.

Bioshock is one of those games that I just could not put down, (after I got over my initial fear of the game). The game pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn’t release you until the credits start to roll. Every fight with a Big Daddy put me on the edge of my seat and I can now honestly say that I hate shadows.

"Come on Mr. Bubbles."
The PS3 version of the game will incorporate all the downloadable content that's been available on the Xbox 360. In addition, the game features trophy support; some of which are the same achievements seen in the Xbox 360 game, while others are different.

A big addition to the game are the puzzle rooms, which are a very slick brain-busting addition to the main game. The rooms will vary in scope and size, which will affect how long it takes you to play through them.

If you haven’t experienced the thrill of Bioshock, would you kindly go out and buy it today.

Letters to the Orcs

David,

Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your story this week about how women are really into playing  video games too.

I also love to play video games. I started off many years ago with an Atari Game Player, then a Nintendo, then a PlayStation and now I have the PlayStation 2.

I haven't been able to upgrade to a next gen console yet due to the cost and things being tight, but will get there one day and enjoy being able to play against others online.

Some people think I'm crazy because I'm so into playing Video Games since I'm 48 years old! Guess they think I should grow up, but as long as I'm able I will continue playing video games!

It's funny but playing the games helps me to relax and helps to relieve any stress or anxiety that life brings my way.

Keep up the information in your articles each week. I enjoy reading them.

Signed,

A 48-year-old Woman Gamer

Gamer,

I read your article last week about Gamerchicks and you asked the question on where to meet them. Well, we’re out here waiting for all you gamer guys to make the first move.
