Tigers win in double overtime

LAKE CITY, FL - It was a double overtime win for the Columbia High Tigers who took the win 27-21 from the Buchholz Bobcats.

A third-quarter fumble resulting in a Buchholz touchdown gave the Bodcats the lead 14-7. With just minutes left in the third quarter, the Tigers’ junior running back Tiger Powell tied the score.

Neither team scored in the fourth quarter of the game. They battled to another tie 21-21 in the first overtime.

Columbia cornerback Chris Dickey intercepted a Bobcat pass in the corner of the end zone to set the stage for the winning touchdown.
