Seven years later

Seven years later

Seven years have passed since September 11, 2001. The day the unthinkable and unimaginable became undeniable.

The day terrorists hijacked four jets, crashing two into New York City’s World Trade Center twin towers, another into the Pentagon and, because of an act of true heroism, a field near Shanksville, Pa., rather than the White House.

The day 2,975 innocent people were killed just because they were in America.

Obama, McCain together on 9-11

Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama will set aside their political differences and stand together on September 11th at the site of the World Trade Center in New York.

The two will be at an anniversary commemoration at the location that has come to be known as Ground Zero.

In a joint statement, the senators said, quote, "All of us came together on 9-11, not as Democrats or Republicans, but as Americans." The statement went on to say, quote, "we were united as one American family." The event set for this Thursday will be the first time Obama and McCain will appear together since they received their parties' presidential nominations.
