Robert D. "Robbie" Barnard, Jr.

September 19, 2008 - Robert D. "Robbie" Barnard, Jr., 50 of Fernandina Beach, FL., passed away suddenly at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL on Thursday, September 18, 2008. He was born in Jacksonville, FL., and moved to Savannah, GA., at a young age. He moved to

Fernandina Beach, FL., in 1980. He enjoyed his days as a Charter Guide before starting Amelia Bath & Tile, Inc. in 1991. Mr. Barnard loved NASCAR, Georgia Bulldogs and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also loved the outdoors, he fished, played golf and worked tirelessly on his yard and rode around town on his custom painted scooter.

He was a loving father, husband and friend. Mr. Barnard was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. (Bob) Barnard, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Denise Rowe Barnard, a son, Cody Aaron Barnard, a daughter, Cassie Renee' Barnard, all of Fernandina Beach, FL., parents, Gerald and Dorothy Smith, of Savannah, GA., sisters, Donna Kay (Matt) Goodwin, of Bloomingdale, GA. And Renee' Willis, of Savannah, GA., and beloved brother & sister in law, Donald and Sandra Rowe, along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the Burgess Chapel at Oxley-Heard. Mr. Barnard will be laid to rest in Millcreek Cemetery Hilliard, FL.

Lottie Beatrice Fowler

September 18, 2008 - Mrs. Lottie Beatrice Fowler, 76, of Yulee, FL passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008. A native of Blackshear, GA, Mrs. Fowler had resided in Nassau County for the past 36 years. She dedicated her life out of the passion for raising her children.

She is survived by, Amanda Beatrice Fowler of Yulee, FL, Catherine Fowler Of AL, Tabitha Nell Fowler of AL, Rawleigh Moses Fowler II of Yulee, FL, and David Leroy (Anita) Fowler of Fernandina Beach, FL. She had nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008 at Yulee Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Keiser officiating. Margie Ann Wilkeson

September 15, 2008 - Margie Ann Wilkeson, 83, passed away on Thursday September 11, 2008. She was a native of Graham Florida and has lived in St. George, Georgia most of her life. She was a member of the Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church. She was the daughter of the late John and Simmie Padgett; Her daughter, Simmie Bell O’Quinn precedes her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Wilkeson; daughters, Willie Merle Brenson (Dannie) of Baxter, Florida; sons, Virgil Atkinson (Joleta) of Adel,Georgia and Winford Lee Atkinson (Debbie) of Interlachen, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday September 13 at 3 PM at Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church with the Bro. Oral Lyons officiating. Internment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family received friends on Saturday afternoon September 13 from 1 PM until 3 PM at the church. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, 714-1110, Jack A. Blackburn Director.
