Silver River State Park will host the Seventh Annual Marion County Springs Festival on Saturday, September 20 beginning at 10 a.m.

silent auction and an arts & crafts show. There will be two Springs contests. The winner of the Springs Song Contest will play the winning song at the event and will be included on a CD of past festival winners. The Photography Contest categories are landscape, wildlife, recreation and black and white.

Expert speakers will lecture throughout the day, while celebrities like Smokey Bear and Swampy the Gator greet fans and sign autographs.

Explore the Cracker Village or ride on a horse-drawn carriage. There will be expertly-guided hikes. For those who bring their own kayaks or canoes, there will be a guided tour of the springs.
