Yulee area residents told to ‘boil water’

POSTED 09/24/2008 - A water quality advisory issued Monday will remain in effect through 5 p.m. Wednesday according to Nassau County Emergency Management. The precautionary boil water advisory began September 22 after a water main break occurred Monday. More than 1,200 JEA water customers are affected.

Customers should use bottled water or bring tap water to a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute prior to using for drinking, food preparation or cooking.

The boil water advisory affects the following JEA water customers in Nassau County:

Yulee Elementary School, 86063 Felmor Road
Yulee Middle School, 85439 Miner Road
Yulee High School, 86207 Felmor Road
Hickory Village Subdivision on Miner Road
Cartesian Pointe Subdivision on William Burgess Boulevard
Timber Creek Subdivision on SR 200
Customers on Miner Road from SR 200 to Sand Hickory Trail
Customers west of Miner Road to Timber Creek Subdivision on SR 200
Customers on SR 200 west off Meadowfield Bluffs Road to Edwards Road
Customers on US 17 south of A1A/SR 200
Lofton Creek subdivision
