More register for help
Residents in Nassau, Baker and Duval counties who suffered storm damage from Tropical Storm Fay are registering for individual and households assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The aid will provide assistance for such things as home repairs and living expenses which can include clothing, medical costs and transportation.
Through the close of business on Fiday, September 19, there were 13,274 total registrations for all 19 Florida counties declared for individual assistance.
In Duval County, 1,830 had registered. There were 103 in Nassau and 33 in Baker County according to Nate Custer, FEMA Public Information Officer.
- Dollars Approved for Individuals and Households for all 19 counties: $10,283,834.43
- Dollars Approved for Individuals and Households Duval County: $934,693.66
- Dollars Approved for Individuals and Households, Nassau County: $180,615.48
- Dollars Approved for Individuals and Households, Baker County: $34,785.87
- Duval County Disaster Recovery Center Visits: 460
- Nassau County Disaster Recovery Center Visits: 70
In addition $1,913,700 in Small Business Administration Low Interest Disaster Assistance Loans were approved in the 19 eligible counties.
