Third-Ranked Bulldogs Upset By No. 8 Alabama, 41-30

ATHENS, Ga. --- Despite a spirited second-half rally, No. 3 Georgia dropped a 41-30 decision to No. 8 Alabama on Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
The Bulldogs had their 11-game winning streak snapped as they fell to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the SEC. Alabama improved to 5-0 and 2-0.
Georgia, which trailed 31-0 at halftime, scored all 30 of its points in the second half.
The Bulldogs got touchdown receptions from A.J. Green and Michael Moore, a scoring run by Knowshon Moreno and a 92-yard punt return for a score by Prince Miller. Blair Walsh added a field goal for Georgia.
Three different running backs found the end zone in the first half for the Crimson Tide – Mark Ingram from seven yards out, Coffee from three and Roy Upchurch from four. Quarterback John Parker Wilson connected with receiver Julio Jones on a 22-yard touchdown pass. Coffee added a second-half touchdown.
Kicker Leigh Tiffin had field goals of 23 and 32 yards and tacked on all five extra points.
