Three perish in early morning house fire

POSTED 10/01/2008 - An electrical problem is thought to be the cause of a house fire that took  the lives of a elderly couple and their adult son this morning in Baker County.

J.C. Jordan, 73, his wife Billie Faye Jordan, 72, and son John Jordan, 53, are thought to have died of smoke inhalation. after their home on Brown Road south of Macclenny went up in flames just before 8 a.m.

Detective Andy Redding with the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office  says preliminary reports  indicate an overloaded electrical outlet in the front of the house may have ignited the fire.
