Former Governors and Senator campaign for Obama in North Florida Former Governors and Senator campaign for Obama in North Florida
Former Governors Bob Graham (Fla.), Jim Hodges (S.C.) and Ray Mabus (Miss.) will join Senator Bill Nelson to visit with folks in North Florida to discuss issues including healthcare, Apalachicola River water rights and economic development along the Interstate 10 corridor as they campaign for Republican presidential hopeful Barack Obama. Former Governor Graham and Senator Nelson visited with Baldwin residents Sunday at a community picnic at Larry M. Carrol Park on Center Street. They then traveled on to a "community conversation" at Olustee Park in downtown Lake City, and a barbecue in Jasper and High Springs. On Monday, the trip will include a stop in Chipley, where the campaign will officially open a campaign office – the first for a Democrat in recent memory. |
