Alligators, crocodile found in Jacksonville residence
     POSTED 10/02/2008 - One Jacksonville man was arrested, and a warrant was issued for a second suspect for keeping four alligators and a crocodile at their Bayard residence. Both men claimed they didn’t know how the alligators got into the pond.

     POSTED 10/01/2008 - A suspect has been arrested for the killing of a captive, domestic, trophy, 12-point buck from a Lake Butler game farm Sept. 6. Dustin Cole Jernigan, 21, of Haines City turned himself in to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office September 29.

Seventeen arrested on drug charges
     POSTED 10/01/2008 - Seventeen people in Columbia County were arrested and charged Friday after a search warrant was served on a local area notorious for illegal activity. Members of the Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force served the search warrant on the residence located at 670 NW Washington Street. The residence and a small building directly behind the residence are locally known as the "tin shed."

Florida recovers $1.5 million from Walgreen Co. in Medicaid settlement
     POSTED 09/30/2008 - Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced that Florida has recovered more than $1.5 million as part of a state and federal settlement with Walgreen Co., an Illinois-based national retail pharmacy chain which operates as Walgreens. The company will pay the United States, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan and Minnesota a total of $9.9 million to resolve allegations the company falsely billed the Medicaid program.

Macclenny gun shop robbed
     Four young men are suspects in what appears to be a daring daylight robbery at The Hole in the Wall gun shop in Macclenny Saturday. Baker County Sheriff’s Office deputies were alerted when witnesses saw two young black men acting suspiciously at a side entrance to the gun shop located at North Fourth Street and Florida Avenue.
