Main Library--3rd Floor Atrium
Set to be unveiled at the October Art Walk , this exhibit is a gallery of vintage photos from the Consolidation era, primarily, though not exclusively, from Consolidation Day, October 1, 1968. It will be on display through the end of October.
Folk artist, David Milam, will also perform his ode to Consolidation along with a set of 60s-era folk songs.
Government by Gaslight Documentary and Discussion

Main Library--Hicks Auditorium
First aired in 1966, this documentary provided crucial momentum for the Jacksonville Consolidation movement. Join us to watch this important documentary. Norman Davis, the documentary's producer from WJXT TV-4 and Harry Reagan, former WJXT TV-4 personality will discuss the news media's role in Consolidation.
A Bold New Revolution: 40 Years Later Panel Discussion

Main Library--Hicks Auditorium
A moderator and three distinguished scholars will discuss how Jacksonville has fared under consolidated government in the 40 years since it was implemented on October 1, 1968.
