Go Greek in St. Augustine this weekend Go Greek in St. Augustine this weekendPOSTED 10/08/2008 - Everyone can be Greek — if only for a weekend — in the Old City during the 10th annual Greek Festival, Friday-Oct. 12. Hosted by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, the event features Greek music by The Hellenic Band, dances by the Nisiotes dance troupe and Greek foods. Admission to the event, at Francis Field in downtown St. Augustine, is $1. Also, visitors may wish to take in the 18th annual Colonial Folk Arts & Crafts Festival, Saturday-Oct. 12. This fest features storytelling and old-time crafts demonstrations including spinning, weaving, blacksmithing and pottery making at the Colonial Spanish Quarter Museum on 53 St. George St. Admission is free.
