COACH'S FORUM- Bradford County
This past Friday we lost to West Nassau High School 16 - 8. I don't feel as a team that we were ready to play and I take full responsibility for the outcome.
This team is very young, not only grade wise but experience wise as well. I had hoped that after defeating Fernandina Beach High School the week prior that we would turn the corner as a team. We still have such a long way to go in becoming the type of team that will be a force to be reckoned with. We are getting closer and our players have been great to work with. Coach Nelson and his Warrior staff did a great job against us.
Friday night we play Bolles at our home field. The game will be a tremendous challenge for our young men. I know that we will play hard and give it all that we have. Bolles is a powerful private school program and never lacks for players or resources as do most small public schools.
This 08 edition of the Bulldogs is like most of the past Bolles power house teams, built to win championships. I do not see but two public school teams in north Florida that can match up with them, South Sumter and Madison.
I would like to thank all of our fans that supported our program while we were on the road and at home last week. The players and staff need your continued support this Friday in what will be a enormous task. Tornado fans are some of the best fans that you will find in high school athletics.
