Today is last day to register to vote

Today is the last day to register to vote in the November general election and election supervisors across the area hope to be busy. Offices have already seen a big increase in those wanting to register.

It is Florida law registration closes 29 days before each election and must remain closed until after that election.

Voters who have recently moved, or who have not cast a ballot since 2004, also are urged to make sure they are still listed on the rolls. If you have any questions, you are advised to contact your local supervisor of elections.

Early voting will begin October 20.

Remember, if you have not registered to vote by today, you will not be able to cast a ballot in the general election.
