Northeast Florida Fair begins this week

Northeast Florida Fair organizers are putting the final touches on this year’s fair, "Down on the Farm" that will begin Thursday. The fair runs Thursday, October 16 through Sunday, October 26, with the rodeo on October 24 at 8 p.m.

Upgraded livestock buildings, painting and landscaping have given a fresh new look to the fairgrounds on US 1 north of Callahan.

In addition to professional magician and longtime favorite, Ron Diamond, fair goers will be treated to a lot of local talent. Area school bands will perform several nights and a perennial crowd pleaser, the Amateur Talent Show will be held October 19.
