POSTED 10/14/2008 - Two suspects fleeing from Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies ended up in the hospital after crashing their stolen car into a tree in Baker County Sunday.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Terry Allan Parson, 25 and Pamela Griffis, 25, both of Jacksonville, were spotted in a stolen vehicle and refused to stop for Columbia County officers. The chase continued southbound on CR 245 into Baker County with speeds reaching into the mid-70s.

During the chase, Parson lost control of the car and ran off the roadway hitting a tree. He fled on foot, but was apprehended a few moments later.
