Obama…Substance or Color?
POSTED 10/15/2008 - In a recent broadcast this week on the Howard Stern Show, talk show cohort Sal went to Harlem and interviewed random passer buyers on the topic of recent Senator Obama polices. Policies that Senator Obama would have stated in recent debates, campaign commercials, or most recent stumping along the campaign trail. The only problem was, the policies and statements posed by Sal were not of Senator Obama‘s, but Senator John McCain‘s. The premise was that a man on the street reporter could go into Harlem in New York City and randomly interview men and women asking them pertinent questions about perceived Obama policies, even if they would support his (Obama’s) selection of Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate for Vice President? Listen for yourself. Is this just a poor attempt to catch the "average Joe" off his or her game as it pertains to today’s campaign rhetoric, or is this an example of a community voting based on race and not substance? You make the call. http://www.bpmdeejays.com/upload/hs_sal_in_Harlem_100108.mp3 |
