Basketball season ticket drive going strong

Basketball season ticket drive going strong

The JU basketball season ticket drive is off to a strong start, with three weeks remaining before the season opener against Florida State on Nov. 15. At this point, there have been twice as many season tickets sold as last season.

"We are off to a great start in our season ticket sales and look forward to keeping that momentum going over the next three weeks," said Barry Milligan, JU assistant athletic director for external affairs. "Terry Wilcox and Mike Hartley, our season ticket campaign chairmen, has done an outstanding job in spreading the word and helping us get JU out in the community."

Season ticket packages start at $150, with several options to choose from. For more information, contact Nikki Swanson at (904) 256-7444 or visit JUDolphins.com to order.

DOLPHINS DIVE INTO FIRST WEEK OF PRACTICE: With a week of practice under their belts, it is so far, so good for the Dolphins.

"We’ve had a good first week of practice," said JU head coach Cliff Warren. "The guys are giving a good effort every day and they are improving – which is all that we ask them to do."

SPORTING NEWS PICKS JU TO WIN THE A-SUN: After a loss in the Atlantic Sun Conference title game, The Sporting News has picked JU to knock Belmont off its throne as the conference champions. JU returns all five starters from last year’s squad and nine of its top 10 scorers.

"While it’s nice to be recognized for what we have accomplished, Belmont is still the team to beat," Warren said. "Having won the league the past three years, they are the champs until somebody beats them."
