Early Morning Narcotics and Weapons Bust in Clay County
     OCTOBER 30, 2008 - A group of Clay County residents received an early morning wake up call from members of the Clay County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force, U.S. Marshals and FDLE yesterday in the Greenwood subdivision off Knightboxx Road. Ten suspects were arrested and detectives confiscated a large amount of marijuana, cocaine, pills, cash and five weapons (including an assault rifle) from the two houses involved.

Cigarette Burglar Sought
     This case takes nicotine addiction to a whole new level. A burglary was committed in Clay County on October 19th at about 3:00 am. The photos/video shows a masked man breaking through the door of the Gate Station located at 3210 Highway 17 in Orange Park. He then uses a trash can to load and steal multiple cartons of cigarettes, all brands and types. The store manager estimated $500 worth of cigarettes was stolen by this suspect.

Four shot at Baldwin nightclub
     BALDWIN, FL - Four people, three women and a man, were shot at the Paradise Lounge in Baldwin in the early morning hours of October 26.

Crime Down in Fernandina Beach
     The Fernandina Beach Police Department is pleased to have experienced an impressive 16.6 percent reduction in serious crime says Chief of Police James T. Hurley. He noted most crime categories saw reductions compared to the first six months of 2007 according to the Semi-Annual 2008 Uniform Crime Report recently released by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
