Coach’s Forum - Bradford County

By HEAD COACH STEVE HOARD

Coach’s Forum - Bradford County

This past Friday the Bradford Tornadoes defeated the Yulee Hornets 33-14. Coach Ramsey’s squad played hard and was well coached. Our offense is starting to come around now that we are hanging our hats on the Wing-T offense. I was very pleased overall. We were a little sloppy and disjointed at times but overall our players and offensive staff did a great job. I was especially

pleased with the play of our offensive line.

Defensively, we started out tough but as the game went along we did not play with the same intensity level or intelligence that is needed to consistently win games. We had several defensive standouts. Terrence Slocum-DT, Tramaine Harris-DB with one interception returned for a score and Charles Jones-CB with his sixth pick of the season were just a few of our defensive players who played well.

It was great playing at home on senior night to honor our young men who have meant so much to our program. Former Bradford High School head coach and living legend, David Hurse was the honorary captain for the game. It was a special night for all of our players, fans and coaches. Coach Hurse is a true inspiration to everyone in Bradford County.

This Friday we play our Homecoming game versus a much improved Interlachen squad. Coach Whitehurst has his team playing tough football. It is just a matter of time before the Rams get a signature win. They can beat us if we let the homecoming festivities become a distraction. We are in for a hard fought physical football game. We need all of our fans to turn out for a Halloween Homecoming in Starke this Friday night.

I would like to thank our Touchdown club for all of the hard work and encouragement that they provide to our program. They do so much behind the scenes to make our Team successful both on and off the field. I can’t imagine where our program would be without their support.

Go Tornadoes! ( Go you UGA Hairy Dawgs! )
