Seagraves, Leeper win big in Nassau

FERNANDINA BEACH, FL - Nassau County Sheriff Tommy Seagraves won his reelection bid with 66 percent of the vote over challenger Fernandina Beach Police Captain Jim Coe. Seagraves got 24,680 votes to Coe’s 12,649.

Danny Leeper won big over incumbent County Commissioner Jim B. Higginbotham by 75-25 percent with 26,642 votes.

County Commission candidate Walter (Jr.) Boatright received 25,915 votes with opponent Ramiro Palmo getting 8,832 for a 73 to 27 percent margin of victory.

The new property appraiser will be Tammy Stiles who received 70 percent of the vote over Ray Harper’s 30 percent.
