PlanetFest is coming. This is Jacksonville’s largest concert of the year and is known for having relatively low ticket prices for the large number of national and local bands that appear.

In 2007, PlanetFest brought bands like Finger Eleven, Breaking Benjamin and Seether to Jacksonville’s Metropolitan Park.

PlanetFest 9 will be November 8 at Metropolitan Park. Deadbeat tickets are $15 (while supplies last); Regular tickets are $25 in advance and $35 day-of-show. Gates will open at 11:00 a.m. rain or shine.

Headliners this year are Hinder, Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Rehab.

Local bands will include 10 West, His Name Was Iron, JoeEveritt, the Embraced, Hollowpoint Militia, Blistur, Penny 4 Your Thought, Shawn Fisher & the Jukebox Junkies, Harloe, and Name: Bran.
