GAINESVILLE, Fla. - A new University of Florida study suggests that spiders, scorpions, ticks and mites have apparently managed to survive a very, very long time. In fact, longer than scientists first believed. By analyzing gene sequences in modern-day spiders, scorpions, ticks and mites, researchers have estimated that these invertebrates first appeared on Earth roughly 400 million to 450 million years ago. Tough loss for the Tornadoes
dford High School lost a heart breaker at Keystone Heights Friday night 14-13. On the first play of the game we had a bad exchange between our center and quarterback and lost the fumble. The Indians scored on a short field to make the score 7-0. We had another turn over in the first quarter on a interception. Keystone also capitalized on this miscue and scored once more to make the score 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
