Florida to Honor 1998 NCAA Champion Women's Tennis Team

NOVEMBER 12, 2008 - The seven Gators who comprised the 1998 women's tennis team and the coaching staff headed by the legendary Andy Brandi will be honored in Gainesville during the weekend of November 15th, when the University of Florida will celebrate the 10-year

anniversary of the team's NCAA Championship.

The 1998 Gators will gather for a celebratory banquet on Friday evening, before being recognized during the first time out of the second quarter of UF's home football game against South Carolina on Saturday afternoon.

Team members were Bonnie Bleecker, Dawn Buth, Traci Green, Stephanie Hazlett, Whitney Laiho, Stephanie Nickitas, and M.C. White. The Coaching Staff at the time was Head Coach Andy Brandi, Assistant Coach Sujay Lama and Volunteer Coach JoAnne Russell.
