Baker County teen killed in accident

NOVEMBER 12, 2008 - An 18-year-old Sanderson teenager was killed last night when her vehicle went into into the path of an oncoming semi truck.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Allison Cooper was northbound on County Road 127 south of William Brinson Road when she drifted off the roadway. As she overcorrected back onto the road, she went in the other lane and into the path of the semi driven by Michael Fraser, 52, of Lake City.

Cooper was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. She died at the scene.

Fraser was not wearing a seat belt either and suffered minor injuries.
