Carlos MenciaCarlos Mencia, a self-proclaimed "equal opportunity offender" and the host of his very own Comedy Central show Mind of Mencia, will have people rolling in the aisles with his take-no-prisoners brand of comedy at the Times-Union Center, 300 W. Water Street at 7:00 pm, November 29. Tickets: $42.50 Fall Dance ConcertFor this years faculty and guest artist concert, the Dance Department at Jacksonville University takes on the jazz idiom. Professors Palmer and Coble will conquer the classics from Django Reinhart to Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald, while Professors Johnson and Steve will add a new twist to step dancing. Guest artists will also show jazz dance and musics range from Broadway to Hip-Hop to Caribbean funk. November 14, 15, 20, 21, 22 at 7:30 pm at the Swisher Theater. Adults: $12.00 |
