Jags to host Operation Blessing

Jags to host Operation Blessing

NOVEMBER 25, 2008 - The Jaguars annual food distribution program, Operation Blessing, is a highly anticipated event held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving at A. Philip Randolph Park.

On Tuesday, November 25 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 p.m. the Jacksonville Jaguars will join with several corporate partners, hundreds of volunteers and other local organizations to assist more than 3,000 Eastside families who are in need during this holiday season.

Jaguars players, along with more than 250 Wachovia volunteers as well as volunteers from Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. will off-load truckloads of groceries and distribute non-perishable food items donated by growers, food processors and manufacturers that support Operation Blessing International, a national nonprofit humanitarian relief organization.
