Florida State SIDs are a Class Act

Hat’s off to the staff over at Florida State and their Sports Information Department. Covering the Seminoles this year was a dream from the press box, a slightly notable difference than that of the team’s performance unfortunately on the field.

With Boston College handling the Terrapin’s of Maryland, the playoff picture for the ACC Championship looks more and more like Virginia Tech versus Boston College, which means, I will not be driving to Tampa to cover that game. This year’s Seminole season will ultimately go down in the books as a rebuilding year, so here’s to next year.

Back to the Seminole SID staff. Each home game they proved to be some of the best hosts a press guy could ask for. With each home game - there was a spread worth driving all the way to Tallahassee for. Great salads, fresh vegetables, and entrée’s ranging from roasted chicken, lasagna, and even beef tips - did I mention the desserts?

The press box was always immaculate, access to information seemed endless with staff members delivering stat after stat upon the completion of each quarter, and even an exclusive play by play announcer, just for us. The Sports Information Department for Florida State University is top notch. To Tina Dechausay and the rest of her team, thanks for a great season. I can’t wait for next year!
