The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is hosting its third annual pet adoption event, A Home for the Holidays, on Saturday, December 6, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Animal rescue groups and shelters from all over the First Coast area will bring a wide variety of cats and dogs that are all in need of a good, loving home. JACKSONVILLE, FL - Eight Downtown historic churches, all built prior to 1925, will be open for the tour, Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 1-5 p.m. The tour begins and ends at the Main Library. Each church will have a guide available to highlight the architectural and historical significance of the building. Visitors can walk the tour route, and trolley service will be provided along the tour route. More ... Lace up your skates and head over to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre to enjoy a Winter Wonderland!
