FSU Football Passes Out Accolades At Annual Team Awards Dinner

Ponder and Brown take home MVP honors for offense and defense

Saturday night Florida State held its annual team awards dinner at the Union Ballroom. The Seminoles gathered to reflect back on the regular season and honor their top performers on the field, in the classroom and in the weight room. Christian Ponder and Everette Brown took home top honors as the MVPs of the offense and defense respectively. Caz Piurowski, Rodney Hudson and Kendrick Stewart each won multiple awards. A complete list of award winners is below:

TEAM AWARDS

Top Conditioned Athlete: Everette Brown

Offensive Seminole Warrior: Christian Ponder/Caz Piurowski

Defensive Seminole Warrior: Kendrick Stewart

Bill McGrotha/Spirit Humanitarian Award: Drew Weatherford/Myron Rolle

Bob Crenshaw Award (biggest heart): Ryan McMahon

Don Powell Award (unsung hero): Rod Roberts

 

ACADEMIC AWARDS (given by class and to the offense and defense)

Freshmen: Andrew Datko and Everett Dawkins

Sophomore: Rodney Hudson and Maurice Harris

Junior: Christian Ponder and Myron Rolle

Senior: Graham Gano and Kendrick Stewart
