Fernandina Beach Police Department arrests two for parking lot robbery
The Fernandina Beach Police Department has announced the arrest of two individuals from the Lynchburg, Virginia area on charges stemming from the robbery of Rebecca and Roy Lewane, which occurred on November 22nd in the Winn Dixie parking lot at 1722 South 8th Street.
James Thomas Legg, 34, and Jessica Lynn Emmett, 22, have been implicated in more than fifty armed robberies in more than six states during a month-long crime spree that lasted the better part of a month.
The two were recently apprehended, Emmett near her hometown in Virginia and Legg in Georgia. Both were charged locally with Armed Robbery and False Imprisonment, while Legg was also charged with Battery on a person over 65 years of age.
