Clay County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Vending Machine Burglars
     Clay County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating numerous cases of burglaries to vending machines and, with the release of the attached photos, would like the community’s assistance in identifying the suspects. Detectives estimate that in 2008 in the Northeast Florida area these burglars stole bills and coins and caused damage to the machines totaling over $70,000. Detectives are working to determine if the suspects in various cases are working together or separately.

Arson Suspect Arrested
     CLAY COUNTY, FL - Clay County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested 31-year-old Patrice Plummer Sunday and charged her with Arson and Burglary following a fire she intentionally set at the Bluff House Apartments in Orange Park. A Clay County fireman sustained minor burns to his ears while fighting the fire.

     T'was the night before Thanksgiving when law enforcement officers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) got a call about a situation that would turn out to be one of the worst cases of willful and wanton waste of wildlife they had ever seen.

     TALLAHASSEE – The 116th Basic Recruit Class of the Florida Highway Patrol graduated this week at the Tallahassee Community College Auditorium. The ceremony took place at 10 a.m. as family and friends gathered to celebrate the significant accomplishment.

Two arrested for illegal dumping
     Two men were arrested this week by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Clay County warrants for Commercial Littering. Environmental Crimes detectives believe these two suspects are responsible for illegally dumping 1,904 cubic feet of tree and shrub debris in various areas of Keystone Heights.

Starke man arrested after chase and crash
     Eric Smith of Starke was arrested Friday morning after a chase by Florida Highway Patrol officers attempting a traffic stop.
