Arson Suspect Arrested

CLAY COUNTY, FL - Clay County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested 31-year-old Patrice Plummer Sunday and charged her with Arson and Burglary following a fire she intentionally set at the Bluff House Apartments in Orange Park. A Clay County fireman sustained minor burns to his ears while fighting the fire.

The fire was reported to authorities at 7:11am Sunday and involved four vacant apartment units. The suspect was recently evicted from one of the units and detectives believe she returned to set the fire, despite being trespassed off the property previously.

The damage to the complex is estimated to be $500,000. The suspect was located in the area, questioned and arrested. She remains in the Clay County Jail on a total bond of $100,258.
